Position/Specialty: MS/Tele RN Shift: 3x12s, Days, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM Ratios: 1:5-6 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend On-call Requirement: No Floating Requirement: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Years of Experience: 2 Patient Ratio Experience: 6 Charting System Experience: Preferred Traveler Experience: Required Traveler Responsibilities: Accessing and managing ports. Blood product administration. Cardiac telemetry. Central line care and management. Chest tube intervention. Cerebrovascular accident management. Feeding tube care and management. Heparin protocols. High flow nasal cannula usage. Interpretation of dysrhythmias. Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment. Management of cardiac drips (no titration). Management of dysrhythmias. Non-invasive airway management. Oxygen administration. Patient-controlled analgesia. Peripheral line care and management. PICC line management. Post-myocardial infarction care. Pre/post cardiac catheterization management. Pre/post hemodialysis management. Renal failure management. Starting and maintaining IVs. Surgical drain management. Telemetry monitoring on the unit. Telemetry remote monitoring. Tracheostomy care and management. Use of rapid response and code teams. Wound care and wound vacuum management. Unit Details: Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics Daily Census: 36 Number of Rooms: 43 Number of Beds: 43 Additional Unit Information: Interdisciplinary support including various support services. Common patient diagnoses include diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, seizures, cerebrovascular accident, transient ischemic attack, and chronic respiratory disease.
