You will be responsible for ensuring all applicable registration and financially related data is captured accurately for a growing and mission-driven organization. Youll be part of a team that thrives on collaboration, novel thinking and transformation./ppWhat You Will Do:/pulliWelcome all patients to the health center/liliPerforms billing and bookkeeping functions, including collection of co-payments, and providing receipts, posting, and balancing daily sheets and day end reconciliation to assure accuracy./liliUpdates insurance information when appropriate./liliVerifies insurance enrollment, eligibility, benefits and out of pocket responsibility./liliUpon patient check out, lab orders will be printed, and referrals will be given./liliSchedules return appointments in compliance with current policy./liliObtains Consent for Medical Treatment and Release of Medical Records Information./liliAccurately completes computer data entry./liliWorks in an organized, efficient manner so as to keep a smooth and orderly flow of patients moving in and out of the medical office./liliMaintains a file system necessary for proper organization of work./liliScans all documents./liliObtains necessary patient release forms in accordance with patient confidentiality and medical release policies./liliReports any patient complaints to the Patient Registration Manager./liliMakes patient calls as directed by the physicians/providers and Nurse Manager./liliRecords and affixes all incoming correspondence, mail results, medical documents, etc. to appropriate department./liliDaily cancellation and reschedule of patients, due to emergencies or staffing issues as directed by the Nurse Manager/Patient Registration Manager./liliConfirms appointments as needed./liliResponsible to answer in-coming telephone calls, take accurate messages and distribute to appropriate party./li/ulpWhat you Bring:/pulliA passion to help patients/liliHigh School Diploma or equivalent required/liliMinimum of five (5) years of continuous experience in a medical outpatient setting required/liliPrior experience in a front desk, medical receptionist, or patient access role required/liliKnowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and scheduling systems preferred/liliStrong customer service, communication, and organizational skills required/liliProficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office preferred/liliBilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred/liliProfessional attitude and appearance/liliInterpersonal skills/liliAbility to use Positive Language/liliExceptional verbal and written communication skills/liliCreativity and resourcefulness/li/ulpReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their essential functions, as required under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) or other applicable state/local law./ppSchedule: Up to 20 hours per week, PRN/as needed based on operational needs Flexibility required, including evenings and occasional Saturdays Up to 20 hours per week/p/div
