About the Family: A loving family in Canton, MA, is seeking a caring, patient, and active nanny to care for their 6-year-old non-verbal autistic son. The family values someone who has experience with special needs children or is willing to learn. They need a reliable nanny to help after school, on weekends, and during family travel. Responsibilities: - Support with after-school routines, including meal prep, dressing, and activities - Engage the child in active play, take him to the park, pool, and various activities (e.g., equestrian classes, swimming) - Light housekeeping, such as tidying up after the child - Assist with weekend care, including outings and activities - Travel with the family during vacations and holidays (passport required) - Drive the child to activities (vehicle provided) Qualifications: - Experience with special needs children (autism experience preferred) - Active, patient, and engaging personality - Comfortable with light housekeeping - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record - Passport for family travel - Long-term commitment preferred Additional Information: - Flexible hours; weekend help is crucial - Option for live-in with a private basement suite, or live-out if local - Pay rate: $27-$31/hr, negotiable based on experience - Travel expenses fully covered, and nanny is treated as part of the family - Nanny car provided for transportation
