Empower Communication in the Vibrant Community of Gilbert, Arizona – Become a Speech Language Pathology Specialist
Envision a career where your expertise facilitates meaningful communication every day. As a Speech Language Pathology Specialist in Gilbert, Arizona, your role transcends mere treatment of speech and swallowing disorders. Here, you will unveil potential, enhance self-esteem, and foster connections among individuals from toddlers articulating their initial sounds to seniors regaining their ability to express themselves.
This position invites you to work with a diverse age group in a dynamic environment that marries outpatient therapy with selective inpatient responsibilities. Whether you have a passion for nurturing pediatric speech milestones, addressing neurogenic communication challenges in adults, or aiding geriatric cognitive-linguistic recovery, you will discover ample fulfillment and adaptiveness in our setting.
Conduct assessments for patients across all age groups, employing standardized tools and observational methods.
Craft individualized therapy plans that meet both immediate and long-standing communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Deliver targeted speech therapy focusing on communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to form integrated care approaches.
Provide guidance and support to patients and their families, ensuring they make progress outside of therapy sessions.
Occasionally carry out inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions, guaranteeing consistent care throughout each patient's journey.
Keep precise and timely documentation that adheres to local, state, and national regulations.
Engage in professional development and peer interaction to stay abreast of the latest advancements in your field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment strategies for all demographics, emphasizing an understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Flexibility to adapt treatment methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical reasoning and analytical thinking skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
Attractive salary reflective of experience.
Flexible working hours that promote a healthy work-life balance and diverse caseload management.
Chance to specialize in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holidays.
Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.
Support for continuing education and professional growth.
A collaborative environment focused on quality care and lifelong learning.
In this role, you will not merely be delivering speech therapy; you'll join a mission that aims to bring forth voices, enrich communication, and cultivate moments of happiness through the simplest human interactions: comprehension and expression.
Your colleagues will treat each other as family in an atmosphere that prioritizes collaboration over rivalry, where each patient presents a unique narrative that you will help to narrate.
