Description: The Surgical Technician will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures. The role involves preparing the operating room and ensuring that all necessary equipment is sterile and functional. Candidates should have a strong understanding of various surgical procedures. Aseptic techniques must be strictly followed. The position requires call responsibilities of 4-6 times within a 6-week schedule, including weekend coverage. The Surgical Technician will work with patients across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Preferred experience involves a variety of surgical procedures but focuses on occupational skills listed in the job requirements. The role does not involve transplant or trauma surgeries. Interdisciplinary support is an essential part of this role. Candidates will be expected to float between facilities as needed. References will be required to verify work history and skills. All surgical staff are required to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. Personal communication devices may be provided for work-related use. Candidates should be prepared to commit to working during specific holidays. Additional compliance processes will be necessary prior to the start of the assignment.
