Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with MA state license and ARRT certification for a long-term assignment in a hospital radiation oncology department.

Details

• Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology-Medical Physics department at a dedicated cancer care center
• 13-week assignment with AM shift, 8:00am-4:30pm, 5x8s, 40 hrs/week
• Candidate must be flexible and willing to adjust hours as needed to support business operations
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required
• Massachusetts state license required (CT license may also apply)
• Ability to safely administer high doses of ionizing radiation under supervision of a radiation oncologist
• Skilled in acquiring and analyzing data for patient treatment preparation
• Experience using various imaging technologies for treatment area localization
• Strong patient assessment, monitoring, and communication skills

Additional Information

• Participate in treatment planning as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
• Serve as primary liaison between patients and the radiation oncology team
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers such as social work and dietitians
• Adhere to accepted standards, code of ethics, and policies regulated by the profession and law
