Job Summary Responsible for ensuring quality vehicle maintenance by performing general and advanced mechanical repairs on all company equipment and vehicles in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. This is a 2nd shift position from 3 pm-11 pm. Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions General and advanced repairs of all vehicles and completing all paperwork related to repair orders. Repair of electrical systems, hydraulic systems, brake repair and replacement as directed. Assisting with component rebuilding such as engines, transmissions, and differentials. Welding associated with the above duties. Assisting other mechanics as needed and completing special projects for the Shop Supervisor upon request. Wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE) related to task being performed as well as using all required safety equipment and procedures. Maintaining a neat and professional appearance of self and shop areas. Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location. Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed. Required Qualifications Must possess a mechanical aptitude. Good safety and driving record. Willingness to work nights, overtime, and weekends as required. Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships. Ability to wear a respirator and perform work. Self‑motivated, organized, and can work without direct supervision. Ability to work near, around, or on light or heavy equipment. Physical Requirements Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100 lbs. of weight frequently. Repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders. Repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects. Repeatedly use vibration tools. Tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions. Repeatedly reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged standing, walking, or sitting. Repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces.
