Box Truck Driver 2nd Shift Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Box Truck Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within a 20-mile radius, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of cargo. Duties Operate a box truck or van to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as necessary for loading and unloading. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving. Experience & Qualifications Previous experience as a Truck Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with operating box trucks or vans is advantageous. Experience with heavy lifting and moving various types of cargo is essential. Knowledge of using forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus. A valid Class A or Class B CDL is required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining logs and ensuring timely deliveries.
