Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Center for Autism and Developing Brain

Location: White Plains, New York. Shift: Day Flex (United States of America). Position: Full‑time day position at NewYork-Presbyterian / Westchester Behavioral Health's Center for Autism and Developing Brain. Responsibilities Work with patients, family members, and caregivers of people with autism spectrum disorders to apply principles of learning and behavior to describe how particular behaviors occur in context. Plan and execute interventions to change maladaptive behaviors or teach new behaviors needed for independent functioning. Work with patients in family context for parent coaching and in small group settings. Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and provide behavior analytic interpretations of the results. Design behavior analytic interventions and develop and implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods for use in unfamiliar situations and a range of cases. Maintain active and supportive communication with patients and families regarding progress, problems, services, and other issues related to the therapeutic process. Attend patient care staffing conferences and related meetings. Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Participate in educational and in‑service programs. Document care provided in accordance with regulatory requirements, hospital policies and professional standards. Perform internal and external public education programs, which may include periodic in‑service presentations. Provide consultation for patients with autism spectrum disorders on inpatient and outpatient units. Qualifications Master's degree. NYS licensure in behavior analysis (LBA). Certification in behavior analysis (BCBA). 1+ years of experience working with young individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Salary Range: $37.95–$54.35 per hour.
