Pharmacy Technician II

Job Description The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing technical assistance to the Pharmacist by performing a variety of pharmacy-related duties in accordance with applicable State, Federal and Seminole Tribe of Florida's Health Department guidelines. The individual performs prescription order entry; prepares and labels medicines; prepares medication boxes for pharmacist verification; communicates with both internal and external healthcare providers, maintains inventory control and pharmacy records as required by law, and stores drugs and supplies per industry guidelines. Responsibilities Prescription order entry Prepare and label medicines Prepare medication boxes for pharmacist verification Communicate with internal and external healthcare providers Maintain inventory control Maintain pharmacy records as required by law Store drugs and supplies per industry guidelines Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent GED required Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a pharmacy or similarly related environment required Current and active State of Florida Pharmacy Technician Registration required Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology required Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Excellent written and verbal skills Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications Valid Florida Driver's License required Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr Seminole Tribe of Florida
