Histotechnician I

Natera seeks a Histotechnician I in Austin to perform histological preparations for whole exome/genome sequencing. The role involves tissue preparation, slide processing, macrodissection, and supporting laboratory workflows with high accuracy and minimal errors.
Responsibilities
- Perform histological preparations for tissue sequencing with minimal errors
- Prepare tissues, stained slides, and perform macrodissection independently after training
- Monitor cases and ensure processing meets departmental turnaround time goals
- Participate in reagent qualifications, validations, and equipment troubleshooting
- Document corrective actions and provide oversight and guidance to new team members
Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher in histotechnician program or related biological/chemical sciences
- HT (ASCP) certification required
- One year histology experience within past 5 years or nine-month histotechnician training program
- 0-2 years total experience
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
