Occupational Therapist Assistant

Support students in school settings as an Occupational Therapist Assistant. Provide therapeutic services to help children achieve independence. Work with teachers, therapists, and families to implement treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivery of therapy programs tailored to school-aged children
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and parents to develop and implement treatment plans
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Support students in gaining independence with daily living activities and sensory regulation
• Maintain compliance with school and district policies, including fingerprinting and background checks

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; additional certification or licensure as required for occupational therapy assistants
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a school setting with children or youth
• Familiarity with school-based therapy and electronic medical records (EMRs)
• Ability to collaborate with educational staff, therapists, teachers, and parents
• Valid fingerprinting clearance and background check
• Valid state licensing or certification specific to occupational therapy assistant roles
• Ability to work standard school hours
• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly, team-oriented attitude
• Physical ability to perform job responsibilities
• Compliance with school district policies
• Ability to monitor and document student progress
