Travel Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities: Able to work independently under the direction of the Pharmacist In Charge or Lead Travel Pharmacy Technician Fills Automated Dispensing System restocks for Facilities Adds medications into the Automatic Dispensing System (ADS) Analyzes and adjusts quantities for different facility ADS Assist with trouble shoot ADS issues Organize setting up and prefill new ADS machines Prepacks medications Handle foils medication into blister cards Maintain active communication with PIC and Lead and pharmacy staff Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter) Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing Replace potentially expiring inventory Restock depleted inventory Monthly audits (cycle count) Provide reports for the facility Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor Qualifications: Important: Must be local to Austin, Texas area. Licensed Texas Pharmacy Technician Previous pharmacy experience required. (one-year experience in long-term care preferred) Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred. Able to use various programs and applications efficiently and able to troubleshoot ADS problems. Good organizational skills and detail oriented. Basic math and analytical skills. Ability to physically perform light lifting. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Willing to drive long distances in the State of Texas.
