Job DescriptionThe Valuation Associate’s primary role will be developing financial models, researching industry & market trends, evaluating company financials, and performing investment valuations. An ability to manage multiple tasks while working under strict time deadlines is essential. Our ideal candidate is independent, motivated, detail‐orientated, inquisitive, and confident analyzing data and conveying conclusionsResponsibilitiesDevelop financial models and perform valuations across debt and equity investmentsSynthesize data to support, challenge, and reconcile conclusions, including back testing and stress testingIdentify, evaluate, and present trends and performance drivers relevant to our businessCoordinate activities and create materials for the Antares Valuation CommitteeDirect 3rd party valuation firm process including information sharing, report review, and data collectionPropose and apply valuation industry best practice topics to internal and external valuation reviewProvide subject matter expertise to valuation‐related projects, such as regulatory reviews, new business initiatives, audit, etc.Support the development and implementation of new valuation models and data repositoriesCollaborate across functions including Capital Markets, Credit, Deal Originations, Marketing, and Asset Management teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business3-5 years of related work experienceAt least 2 years of direct experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transactions, within a valuation, investment banking, commercial banking, or financial research firmStrong ability to analyze and evaluate data, formulate accurate conclusions, and clearly recommend solutionsDemonstrated knowledge of financial modeling including experience building models from scratchExcellent project management, communication, and teamwork skillsStrong work ethic and ability to work in a fast‐paced environment with limited supervisionFinance or accounting designation such as CFA, CPA preferredTHE FINE PRINTMust have unrestricted authorization to work in the United StatesMust be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification, and background checkMust be willing to work from the New York office and travel as necessaryAntares is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
