Responsibilities:Valuation of PP&E (real estate and/or machinery & equipment) with the opportunity to touch on many asset types on a collaborative team with individual ownershipDevelop a unique ability to combine knowledge of both real estate and/or equipment with a basic understanding of corporate accountingDevelop various approaches to value relying on real estate data and/or fixed asset ledgers including comp searches, discounted cash flows and data modelingDevelop commercial real estate skills including researching real estate markets, rental and sales comparables, capitalization rates and required rates of return on real estate investmentsConduct site visits at clients both international and domestic; assist in audit reviews of third-party valuationsAdditional Responsibilities for Senior Associate: supervise and aid in the development and training of additional employees; develop and mentor associates and internsQualifications:Minimum one year of related experience and knowledge for associate position; minimum two years for senior associate positionBachelors degree in engineering, accounting, finance, economics, or business from an accredited college/universityExcellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced Excel skills, solid research skills and the ability to problem solve unfamiliar tasksAbility to work well in a team environment and/or independentlyKPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
