Senior Property Accountant

A real estate firm based in White Plains is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations for their growing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting including GL maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Lead the month-end close process and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee bank, operating, and escrow account reconciliations
- Review AP/AR activity, including rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and collections
- Analyze budget-to-actual variances and communicate findings to management
- Collaborate with property management on expense coding and financial reporting
- Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Assist with budgets and reforecasts; support year-end audits and tax preparation
- Manage and mentor a small accounting team
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience in real estate
