Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery - P/T Night

Responsibilities Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide and ensure safe and excellent delivery of individualized patient‑centered care with a diverse patient population. Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and other members of the health care team regarding patient status, rendered care and treatment plans. Responsible for optimal patient/guest satisfaction and care experience according to Hackensack Meridian Health standards. Medication administration utilizing the latest clinical documentation technology designed to ensure the safest delivery of medications to patients. Patient and family‑centered care aimed at optimizing health, wellness and disease management. Interdisciplinary collaboration in management of our patients’ plan of care and goals from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care. Qualifications Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license (required). Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification (required). BSN preferred; must obtain within 3 years. 2‑3 years of labor and delivery RN experience strongly preferred. 2‑3 years of mother‑baby/nursery/SCN experience preferred. NRP preferred. ACLS preferred. The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and the passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong patient focus are all required. Compensation & Benefits The starting rate of pay is provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee of a specific offer. Posted hourly rates may be stated as an annual salary or vice‑versa, depending on the level, nature of the duties, and credentials of the candidate. Compensation is benchmarked against market data and determined by experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, budget, and grant funding. Some positions may be eligible for performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions. Shift differentials for evenings, nights, or weekends may also apply. In addition to our compensation for full‑time and part‑time (20+ hours/week) positions, Hackensack Meridian Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
