Senior Accountant

Fury Construction & Development is seeking a Head of Accounting to oversee the company's financial operations, reporting, and internal controls across our real estate development and construction projects. This role will manage the accounting function and ensure accurate, timely financial information to support project and executive decision-making. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and job costing for active construction and development projects Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Manage project-level cost tracking, budget-to-actual analysis, and WIP (work-in-progress) schedules Coordinate with project managers on draw requests, lien waivers, and construction loan compliance Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Manage cash flow forecasting and banking relationships Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with external CPA firms/auditors Supervise and mentor accounting staff Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 7+ years of accounting experience, with real estate development or construction industry experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and construction draw processes Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Procore, or similar) Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills Compensation Salary starting at $85,000, commensurate with experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Fury Construction and Development
