What You'll Be Doing

The Payment Operations Specialist I supports the daily execution of payment processing activities, including transaction handling, reconciliations, and customer support. This role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and adherence to operational procedures while contributing to the overall efficiency of the payment operations team.

What We're Looking For

• Process various payment types (ACH, RTP, etc.) in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform daily reconciliations and assist in identifying discrepancies.
• Support resolution of payment issues and failed transactions.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding payment status and procedures.
• Assist in identifying potential fraud or risk and escalate as needed.
• Maintain compliance with NACHA rules, Regulation E, and internal policies.
• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration.

What You'll Bring

• Understand and comply with all regulations, including the Community Reinvestment Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.
• Understand and comply with all NACHA rules and guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum Required: No experience required, 1+ years' experience in payment operations preferred.

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
