Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract About the unit: · Number of Beds – 18 · Type of equipment – central lines, pca, foley, chest tubes, pacer wires, telemetry, drains · EMR – Meditech Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Able to read cardiac monitor · Able to give narcotics Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · Stepdown experience · Cardiac knowledge List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, Mitral clip, thoracotomy, Afib, CHF, MI · Cardiac drips (popular Cardizem amiodarone, heparin, nitro) Best personality Fit: · Team player – critical thinking – kind and compassionate REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: · BLS, ACLS Floating Area(s): · Tele and med surg Dress Code : · Scrub Color/Attire – all navy Unit Guidelines/Policies : · VS and assessments q4h · Rhythm interpretation q4h Weekends and On call: · Every other weekend – overtime available
