Schedule: 7:30 AM–3:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Compensation: $40–$60/hour
Licensure: IDFPR SLP License and PEL

About the Opportunity

An elementary school in Northern Illinois is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide FMLA coverage from November 30 through March 2.

This is a great opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working with early childhood and elementary-aged students and wants to be part of a collaborative school team.

Position Overview

The SLP will support a caseload of approximately 40 students across Pre-K–4th grade. In addition to providing speech and language services, this position will be involved in new evaluations for students in Early Childhood and grades K–4, as well as the school's MTSS/problem-solving process.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language services to students in Pre-K–4th grade

• Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students

• Conduct new evaluations in Early Childhood and K–4

• Develop and implement individualized speech and language goals

• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings

• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers

• Participate in the school's MTSS/problem-solving process

• Communicate with families and school staff regarding student needs and progress

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Current IDFPR SLP License

• Illinois PEL

• School-based experience preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience working with Pre-K and elementary-aged students preferred
