Advanced Cardiac Care Clinical Nurse - (Part-Time) Days

Job Details Shift schedule: 24‑hour, 2–12 hour shifts per week with day shift. Benefits start on the first day of the month following the first day of employment. Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, oncology, women’s and infant health, breast health, gastroenterology, orthopedics, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management. The Advanced Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU) is a 48‑bed fast‑paced cardiac care unit providing an exciting and challenging environment for skilled nurses. Role Purpose Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promote patient and family-centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on illness management, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Participate in professional development initiatives. Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family/caregiver, in accordance with nursing care standards. Proactively plan and ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs per standards of care. Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Safety‑Sensitive Position: The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is essential. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing diploma or associate degree in nursing. Experience No experience required. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Licenses & Certifications Registered Nurse (RN).
