Service Support SpecialistDoug Smith Subaru is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Service Support Specialist to join our Service Department.This is a hands-on support position that helps keep our service department organized, efficient, and moving throughout the day. The position includes working with customer vehicles, supporting daily service operations, assisting customers on the service drive, and stepping in to help manage customer service visits when needed.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working around vehicles, is comfortable interacting with customers, and wants to learn more about the automotive service industry.What You'll DoGreet customers and help direct them when they arrive for serviceMove, park, stage, and retrieve customer vehiclesHelp maintain an organized service drive and vehicle parking areasAssist with customer transportation and vehicle pickup or delivery as neededHelp keep the service drive and customer areas clean and presentableSupport the service team with day-to-day tasks that keep vehicles and customers moving efficientlyCheck customers in and gather information about their service needs when neededCreate service repair orders for routine maintenance and serviceReview maintenance needs and vehicle inspection results with customersExplain recommended services, pricing, and estimated completion timesObtain customer authorization for additional workProvide customers with updates while their vehicle is being servicedReview completed work with customers and help make sure they have a great experience from arrival through pickupAssist wherever needed to keep the department running smoothlyWhat We're Looking ForValid driver's license and a good driving recordDependable, punctual, and willing to help wherever neededFriendly and professional with customersStrong communication skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentAble to stay organized while handling multiple tasksComfortable using computers and learning new softwareInterest in vehicles and automotive serviceWillingness to learn new responsibilities and take on more as you developPrevious automotive experience is helpful but not requiredA Position You Can Grow IntoThis position provides an opportunity to learn multiple sides of a busy automotive service department.
