Scada Engineer

Duration: 3 months contract to hire

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Job description:

What You’ll Do

• Develop and configure PLC programs (ladder logic, structured text, function blocks)
• Build and maintain SCADA/HMI systems and interfaces
• Convert engineering narratives into functional PLC logic + SCADA configurations
• Configure RTUs, communication protocols, and system integrations
• Design HMI/SCADA screens (UI/UX + navigation)
• Perform testing, validation, and system commissioning (onsite or remote)
• Troubleshoot electrical, network, and control system issues
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and field teams
• Maintain technical documentation and system updates

What You Need (Must-Haves)

• 3+ years of PLC programming + SCADA/HMI experience
• Strong experience with ladder logic and industrial control systems
• Ability to read electrical drawings and P&IDs
• Experience with SCADA platforms, RTUs, and communication protocols
• Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical + networking + controls)
• Ability to translate technical requirements into working systems

Nice to Have

• Experience in utilities, water/wastewater, or industrial environments
• Exposure to UI/UX design for industrial interfaces
• Experience with system integration and commissioning
• Background working with cross-functional technical teams
