Registered Nurse - Interventional RadiologyThe role involves providing nursing support in Interventional Radiology. The nurse will float to different facilities as required. Charting will be performed using the Epic system. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 150 patients. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patients pre- and post-procedures. The nurse will administer and monitor procedural sedation. Skills required include managing dysrhythmias, care and maintenance of implanted ports, and intravenous administration. The nurse will maintain infection prevention protocols and ensure radiation and laser safety. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, such as radiology and pharmacy, is essential. The role requires adherence to all compliance and safety regulations. All job specifications must be satisfied for reassignment within departments or facilities.
