Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent full-time experience as a Registered Dietitian in acute care, nursing home, or inpatient rehabilitation setting.
License: Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Certifications: Advanced Practice Certification preferred.


Must-Have:
- Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition.
- Ability to assess nutritional needs and implement care plans.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with healthcare providers.


Description:
Act as a nutritional consultant and resource to members of the healthcare team.
Provide comprehensive nutritional care including assessment, nutrition diagnosis, implementation of a care plan, counseling, education, and evaluation of outcomes to patients, families, and associates.
Coordinate various education programs and seminars on nutrition topics.


Assess the nutritional needs of patients by obtaining, verifying, and interpreting data to identify nutrition-related problems.
Determine food and nutrition-related history from patients, medical records, and healthcare team members.
Identify nutrition diagnoses to describe specific nutrition problems that can be resolved or improved through intervention.
Implement nutrition interventions based on individualized patient care needs, including nutrition education and counseling.
Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes to assess progress and goal achievement.
Monitor patients' food tolerances and nutritional intake.
Collaborate and communicate with healthcare providers regarding patient care and nutrition-related issues.
Educate patients and their significant others on nutrition and special diets.
Maintain documentation of nutrition services provided in patient medical records.
Develop and conduct in-service classes and community education on health and nutrition topics.
Participate in special projects and committees related to nutritional care.
Maintain and enhance professional expertise through educational activities.
Develop and maintain educational resources for patients and audiences.
Supervise dietetic interns/students and provide clinical teaching and mentoring.
Act as a liaison with culinary wellness departments to address needs of patients and staff.
Demonstrate professional characteristics and ethics by adhering to policies and maintaining up-to-date knowledge.
Perform other related duties as required.


Physical demands may include a normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.
Strong interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate and collaborate with healthcare professionals and patients.
