Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on technical role focused on ensuring equipment reliability and supporting facility operations within a fast-paced, 24/7 flavors manufacturing campus. This position requires strong electrical and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot and maintain systems such as PLCs, motors, drives, valves, flow meters, and related instrumentation while supporting not only manufacturing, but also R&D labs, quality, and administrative spaces. The role also extends to broader facility needs, including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, grounds maintenance, basic IT support, and event setup. In addition to performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, the technician is responsible for documenting work in MaintainX, managing spare parts inventory, coordinating with vendors, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety and operational efficiency. Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to read technical diagrams (P&IDs, PFDs, schematics), and effectively manage multiple priorities.

This position supports a 24/7 manufacturing site, two R&D facilities (sweet and savory), a Quality Control lab, an administrative building, and broader facility needs such as plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, grounds maintenance, furniture assembly, basic IT support, and event setup.

Perform emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance

Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and facility issues

Use CMMS (MaintainX) to document work orders and maintenance activities

Coordinate with vendors to source parts and services

Maintain critical spare parts inventory

Support cross-training and team development

Contribute to continuous improvement and facility upgrade initiatives

5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food, dairy, or pharmaceutical preferred)

Experience with liquid processing and spray drying systems preferred

Ability to read P&IDs, PFDs, and electrical schematics

Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience with CMMS systems preferred

High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred

Preferred: Trade school diploma, military training, or an associate degree in a technical field

Compensation Range: $24.00-$37.00/HR

2nd shift: Monday - Friday 11:30a - 8p
