Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a GI lab or similar surgical environment.
• Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent experience.
• Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of gastrointestinal procedures and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the GI lab by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
• Assist the medical team during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor and manage inventory of surgical supplies, ensuring that all materials are stocked and available.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Document and report any issues or concerns regarding equipment or procedures to the appropriate personnel.
