Title:Equipment Technician SupervisorJob Description:Job OverviewThe Equipment Technician Supervisor will be responsible for the assignment and direct supervision of Equipment Technician employees in maintaining the cleanliness and disinfection of medical equipment. The supervisor will inspect equipment and working conditions to ensure compliance with disinfection and regulations.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Must be able to perform all duties and assignments of the Equipment TechnicianCoordinate and supervise the activities of employees in the Disinfect and Delivery programDevelop working schedule for TechniciansCoordinate Technicians activityRedirect Technicians if urgency arisesMonitor hours worked, punctuality and attendance of TechniciansSupport employment related responsibilities including onboarding, new hire training, coaching to meet Service Level Agreements, performance management, attendance management, upskill training, and escalation resolutionBe trained on cleaning advanced medical equipment for support of TechniciansImprove order response timeAnswer phone and fulfil phone requests as neededEnsure consistent communication among TechniciansCommunicate with stakeholdersPerform spot checks throughout the shiftEscalate Clinical concerns to ManagerReporting to customer as requiredEnsure training of new employees in tasks, safety, policies, and proceduresIdentify and escalate overtime needsEnsure that services meet the needs of the siteEnsure personnel have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform their jobIssues supplies to equipment technicians as neededConduct regular quality, service, and safety inspections of assigned areas and report the results of the inspections with particular emphasis on needed repairsEnsure specified contract services are provided by the contractor by inspecting the work performedAdvise the immediate supervisor when shortcomings or other deficiencies of work are notedReport employee personnel and customer issues to supervisorReport accidents and incidents to the supervisor immediatelyCarry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable lawsAssign and direct workEnsure each team member works in conformance with SBM and GE policies and proceduresEnsure operational excellence through training, coaching, disciplining, and encouragement of team membersAddress complaints and resolve problemsEnsure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirementsMonitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and suppliesProvide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvementReview and maintain employee’s records such as attendance and metric dataCorrect at risk behavior then reports to the supervisor immediatelyQualificationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
