Role Description The BIM Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Forest Hill, MD. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating BIM models across disciplines, ensuring accurate and consistent information for project teams. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and maintaining BIM standards, integrating architectural, structural, and MEP models, detecting and resolving clashes, and producing coordinated drawings and model views for design and construction activities. The BIM Coordinator collaborates closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to support design review meetings, update models with design changes, and maintain documentation and version control. The role also involves supporting BIM-related training, improving workflows, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of digital construction practices. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in BIM Coordination and Building Information Modeling (BIM), including model setup, management, and clash detection. Candidates should possess skills and experience in Architecture and related design disciplines to understand building systems and project documentation. Candidates should possess skills in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) coordination, with the ability to integrate and review multidisciplinary models. Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including task planning, prioritization, and coordination with diverse project stakeholders. Proficiency in BIM authoring and coordination tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, or similar platforms) is highly beneficial. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities, with the ability to identify and resolve model conflicts efficiently. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a construction environment. Relevant education in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
