Senior Engineer, Continuous Improvement

As a Senior Engineer, Continuous Improvement, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving value streams. You will design lean systems, influence cross-functional teams, and execute improvement initiatives to continuously drive top performance from our production system. This is an onsite position at Stryker PV in Irvine, CA. Additional responsibilities: Lead value stream mapping workshops and kaizen events Oversee future state implementation Monitor & improve lean metrics (lead time, changeover time, inventory levels, etc.) Evaluate / design and implement process and process flow improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, while maintaining or improving product quality Partner with Finance associates to quantify CI cost reductions Personally execute improvements Coach others in Lean concepts Work closely and collaboratively with members of other teams in a fast-paced environment Identify root causes of issues, determine potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements Follow the company’s standards for process development, quality and safety Support New Product Introduction and/or Legacy product Ramp-Up plans. Contribute to infrastructure configuration to ensure optimal efficiencies What you need- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required 2+ years of relevant work experience required Experience working in Medical Device or a highly regulated industry required Certification in Lean manufacturing - preferred Ability to identify waste, formulate action plans and drive improvement – preferred Shingijutsu methodology experience or similar – highly preferred $89,400 - $148,900 USD Annual Travel Percentage: 0% Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
