#139157 (CNA) Sr. Nursing Aide - Sulpizio CVC ICU Filing Deadline: Thu 4/23/2026 Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the CNA supports the continuum of care by providing basic care and assistance with daily activities. Performs uncomplicated technical procedures such as EKG, basic medical records coding, chart audits, and patient inventory management. Assists with patient transport, laboratory specimens, blood products, and CPR during Code Blue. Cross‑trains to Hospital Unit Secretary and Environmental Care Partner. Requires initiative, prioritization, teamwork, and administrative support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid California CNA Certificate. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months of hire. At least one year of recent acute care CNA experience. Demonstrated ability to observe deviations from normal. Ability to function in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with professionalism and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to navigate multiple competing priorities with strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Adhere to UCSD Health Medical Center (C.A.R.I.N.G.) Standards of Performance and demonstrate professionalism in attire, attitude, conversation, behavior, and attentiveness to others. Effective communication skills, building collaboration, encouraging teamwork, and promoting a positive inclusive workplace culture.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous acute care experience. Previous ICU experience. Familiarity with PCIS, UCSD Paging & Scheduling Systems. Knowledge of medical terminology or certification training. Bilingual: Spanish/English.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.

PAYMENT INFORMATION
