Job Summary Associate performs a variety of duties preparing patients for scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information. He/she operates Nuclear Medicine equipment to produce images and measures concentration of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas. Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed. Maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff, and co‑workers. Supports and helps achieve departmental and hospital goals. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, obtained within 30 days of employment start date. State Registered Radiologic Technician. Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent. Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification, obtained within 60 months of employment start date. Registered/eligible by NMTCB and/or ARRT (N). If not holding advanced certification, must obtain it within 6 months of hire or completion of training program. Texas licensed MRT. 3+ years of experience in nuclear medicine technology. No travel required.
