Forensic Inpatient facility is a 183-bed secure hospital, comprised of sentenced incarcerated individuals who are admitted for inpatient services from various correctional facilities and county jails pursuant to section 402 of Correction Law (CL); non-sentenced incarcerated individuals who are admitted for inpatient services from the county jail only, pursuant to section 508 of the CL; defendants who are adjudicated as not competent to proceed with trial and are remanded to the OMH pursuant to Criminal Procedure Law (CPL) 730. Satellite Units are located in Albion, Attica, Auburn, Coxsackie, Elmira, Five Points, Marcy RMHU, Midstate, Washington, and Wende.About Midstate Correctional Facility:Utica, New York offers the charm of small city living balanced with cultural and ethnic diversity of an international urban center.
