Specimen Processor I
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I in West Columbia, SC to prepare and process clinical specimens for laboratory testing. The role involves specimen handling, accurate labeling, data entry, and routing in a high-volume diagnostic environment, working a second-shift schedule Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Unpack, sort, and route specimens to designated staging areas
- Accurately label and identify specimens according to procedures
- Enter patient information and specimen data accurately and timely
- Pack and ship processed specimens to appropriate testing facilities
- Document and resolve problem specimens and discrepancies
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable handling biological specimens safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Proficiency with MS Office and data entry
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds
- Pass standardized color blindness test
