Platform Engineering & Operations - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Platform Engineering & Operations - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role will lead the administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) environments within a large-scale enterprise ecosystem. The ideal candidate will define and implement SRE principles, including infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, to build and maintain self-healing systems and improve system resilience. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) environments
• Oversee the design, build, and lifecycle management of Linux servers, including storage and virtualization
• Manage high availability (HA) configurations, clustering, and load-balanced environments
• Define and implement SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
• Lead initiatives for infrastructure automation (provisioning, configuration, patching) using tools such as Ansible
• Install, configure, and maintain OEL operating systems and related software stacks
• Manage Logical Volume Manager (LVM), distributed file systems, NFS, and automount configurations
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortem reviews
• Ensure systems are secure, hardened, and compliant with enterprise security standards
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to SRE and infrastructure teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) systems
• Proven experience in high availability systems, virtualization, and storage management
• Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools like Ansible
• Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Bash, Python preferred)
• Strong experience with infrastructure troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident management
• Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure (compute, storage, network)

Pay range: $55.13 - $63.13 per hour
