Receiving / Inbound Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Receiving / Inbound Lead to oversee daily inbound operations within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound shipments, leading receiving associates, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in warehouse receiving, inventory control, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily receiving and inbound warehouse operations
• Coordinate unloading, inspection, and processing of inbound shipments
• Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and system records
• Ensure accurate inventory transactions within the WMS or ERP system
• Monitor product quality, damages, shortages, and discrepancies
• Train, coach, and support receiving team members on procedures and productivity expectations
• Prioritize workload to meet operational deadlines and service levels
• Maintain organized dock areas and proper product flow throughout the warehouse
• Communicate with transportation, inventory, quality, and operations teams regarding inbound activity
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation efforts
• Enforce company safety policies, housekeeping standards, and OSHA compliance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or reach trucks as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience
• Prior experience in receiving, inbound, or inventory operations preferred
• Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and email communication
• Forklift certification or equipment experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures

Important Details:

• Wednesday – Saturday
• 7:00am – 5:30pm
• Onsite in our Allentown, PA facility
• $18.00-$22.00/hour
