Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) Location: Chico, CA Job Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks) Shift: Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts | Varied Start Times Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a Level II Trauma Center with a focus on outpatient surgery services. The RN will provide perioperative nursing care, support surgical procedures, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Candidates may be required to float between the outpatient surgery center and main operating room as needed. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures Circulate surgical cases in the operating room Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and monitoring Maintain sterile techniques and ensure compliance with infection control standards Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and healthcare teams Accurately document patient care and surgical procedures using EPIC EMR Monitor patient safety and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Participate in patient education and discharge planning when applicable Float to the main operating room as needed Requirements Active California RN License Current BLS Certification Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience Previous travel nursing experience preferred EPIC EMR experience required Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices Excellent communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications ACLS Certification PALS Certification Experience in Level II Trauma Center settings Outpatient Surgery Center experience At Srimatrix Health, we're dedicated to connecting talents with opportunities that transform lives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
