Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years CVOR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum 1 year recent experience as an RN in a CVOR setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques
• Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt quickly to changing OR demands
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients
• Prepare, assess, and position patients for surgical procedures
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout all operative phases
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond rapidly during procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs, recognize changes in condition, and intervene as necessary
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and other healthcare staff
• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient status, procedures performed, and supplies utilized
• Adhere to evidence-based protocols and safety guidelines at all times
