Leader, Architecture & Design

RH is seeking a Leader of Architecture & Design to bring our vision for next-generation Design Galleries to life. Working across Development, Design, Construction and internal business teams, this leader will guide new ground-up galleries from concept through opening, ensuring the design vision is executed with quality, precision and operational excellence.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESLead ground-up Next-Generation Design Gallery projects through all phases of development, from concept design and construction through gallery openingDirect the onboarding and work of consultants and architects of record through planning, entitlement, permitting and construction administrationDevelop design standards and architectural details for new Design GalleriesOwn open design items and priorities, collaborating with internal partners to integrate merchandising and operational requirements into project plansPartner with the Construction team to resolve on-site design challenges with clarity and urgencyDrive hospitality and retail fixture design, development and sourcing, including the review of submittals, shop drawings and FF&E procurement for key design elementsConduct site visits, requiring approximately 30% travel, and collaborate with the Gallery Preservation team to incorporate operational feedback into future designs and special projectsOUR REQUIREMENTS5+ years of experience in large-scale, high-end retail or hospitality design, including the development of floor plans, programming, elevations and detailsCollege degree in architecture preferredExperience managing concurrent projects through all phases of design development and gallery openingHigh proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Google Workspace and Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to translate concept sketches into formal schematic design packagesExperience participating in executive-level project reviews, interpreting design direction and translating that direction into successful executionStrong written and verbal communication, meeting leadership and time-management skills, with the ability to direct consultants and clearly communicate project status and priorities to senior leadersRH is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, marital status, age, disability, sexual orientation, military/veteran status, or any other status protected by federal or state law or local ordinance.
