Job Description
The Gas Spot is looking for friendly, dependable Associates to join our team. In this customer-facing role, you'll help create a clean, welcoming store while providing excellent service and keeping daily operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with purchases
- Operate the POS system and process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately
- Promote store products, specials, and sales
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays
- Unpack and organize merchandise deliveries
- Perform routine inventory counts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store
- Assist with kitchen preparation and other food service duties as needed
- Complete daily operational tasks and follow company policies and procedures
- Follow all federal and state regulations regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco, and lottery products
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with customers and teammates
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash transactions
- Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures
- Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Bend, stoop, crouch, and reach while stocking merchandise and cleaning
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while stocking, cleaning, and operating equipment
- Occasionally climb ladders to stock merchandise or perform cleaning tasks
Certifications
The following certifications are required or must be obtained after hire:
- C UST Certification
- Tobacco Certification
- Alcohol Certification
