Provide medical care to ill and injured students according to list of standing orders provided by medical doctor. Keep record of all services provided to students in computer charging software. Fill out injury/accident reports when applicable on students injured. Order medical supplies when needed for nurse’s office. Coordinate student medical orders/needs as needed with students’ home school nurse and teachers, as permitted following confidentiality requirements. Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and/or special events as assigned. Maintain confidentiality. What are the required qualifications? Licensed Practical Nurse License. CPR and First Aid certification. Knowledgeable in communicable diseases and symptoms of illness. Knowledgeable in emergency treatment and facilities available for referrals for life‑threatening situations. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Flexibility and adaptability to different school settings. Willingness to go through and pass the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started. Physical, TB and Drug Test done within one year. Mandated Reporter Certificate.
