Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse

Seeking an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for critically ill newborns. The role involves managing complex medical cases and utilizing advanced equipment within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies to neonatal patients according to physician orders.
• Monitor vital signs and assess the condition of premature and critically ill infants continuously.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Handle specialized procedures such as full body cooling, chest tube placement, and surgical repairs.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in the EPIC EMR system.
• Float to other NICU units or facilities as needed, adhering to competency requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent NICU experience.
• Current BLS, NRP, and SC license certifications.
• Demonstrated proficiency in EPIC EMR with at least 1 year of experience.
• Strong knowledge of neonatal diagnoses such as HIE, RDS/RFS, TEF, and diaphragmatic hernia.
• Ability to manage complex equipment including ventilators, incubators, and infusion pumps.
• Capable of performing specialized neonatal procedures independently.
