Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an ICU position requiring 3-5 years of critical care experience and NIH Stroke Scale certification.

Details

• ICU unit specializing in neuro, trauma, and medical patients, with stepdown/progressive care and medical overflow
• 17-bed unit with acuity-adaptable ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
• Uses ventilators, IV pumps, CRRT, BiPAP, EKOS devices, and chest tubes
• Epic EMR system used
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM)
• Weekend rotation required approximately every third weekend
• On-call requirement approximately once every 4 weeks
• Floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; TNCC or TCAR preferred
• 3-5 years of recent critical care/ICU experience required
• Strong cardiac rhythm knowledge required, must pass facility EKG test with 90% or higher
• Critical care experience required; stepdown/progressive care experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a mixed neuro, trauma, and medical ICU population
• Multiple computer-based training modules required prior to first day, as assigned by staff education
• Navy blue scrubs required; sweatshirts not permitted and facial piercings must be removed or covered with flesh-colored coverings
• Candidates should be hardworking, punctual, reliable, and outgoing
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a reduced rate
