Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
• Design functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities and progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and fulfilling all state-mandated continuing education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Maine
• Demonstrated competency in patient evaluation, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and ethical standards
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
• Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations
