CNC Setup Class A (Advanced)

The CNC Setup Class A (Advanced) performs duties to set up and instruct assigned department employees in the setup and operation of a wide variety of computer numerically controlled work centers to progressively machine a wide variety of piece parts. This position works from complex blueprints, shop orders, tool sheets, sketches, computer printouts, and instructions to perform the following duties.

Job Duties:

• Troubleshoot quality issues with machined parts
• Make modifications to the machine program
• Train operators and set personnel
• Direct departmental employees on work elements
• Maintain accurate tooling inventory
• Set tooling and fixtures according to print or layouts
• Setup work center calling up programs and modifying as needed
• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks
• Assist operator in loading and operating machine
• Prepare production records as required

Qualifications:

• Complete 6S training
• Complete safety auditor training
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Ability to perform shop math
• Ability to read blueprints
• 4+ years experience
• Ability to read and understand G code
