Packaging Line Technician

Position Overview The Packaging Line Technician sets up, operates, monitors, and adjusts machinery to package product while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, safety rules, and good manufacturing practices (GMP). The role reports to the department supervisor and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to maintain quality for all vitamins. Key Responsibilities Resolve mechanical issues promptly and perform root‑cause analysis with training when incidents occur. Operate a variety of manufacturing packaging equipment efficiently in a fast‑paced production line. Read and write English effectively to communicate with staff, understand procedures, and complete production and cleaning logs. Track line efficiency and downtime data, maintain accurate logs, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements. Adhere to required GMP standards while maintaining quality of personal work. Continuously improve changeover times to enhance team efficiency. The Candidate The ideal candidate has experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments. You are agile with change, supportive of teammates, and practice active listening. Critical Success Factors Working knowledge of at least six months in a manufacturing, packaging, or shipping environment (preferred). Ability to read and understand procedures, GMPs, packaging standards, batch records, and follow verbal and written instructions. Comfortable with constant change and self‑driven. Capabilities & Skills Required High school diploma, GED, or five years of related experience. Ability to lift or move loads up to 50 lbs using pallet jacks or other mechanical aids; stand and walk throughout the shift; manual dexterity to operate filling and labeling equipment. Basic English reading, writing, and math skills. Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this position is $41,000 – $68,000. Compensation is determined by geographic location, education, experience, and other factors.
