Job Title: Home Delivery Customer Service Coordinator

 

Overview Summary

Summit Staffing is seeking a Home Delivery Customer Service Coordinator to support customer service, delivery coordination, and daily store operations. In this role, you’ll serve as a liaison between customers, store associates, and service providers to resolve concerns, coordinate delivery needs, inspect products, and ensure a positive customer experience. You’ll also assist with moving merchandise, maintaining an organized work environment, and supporting other departments as needed.

Location : Wilmer, TX

Type: Temp to hire

Pay: $20/ hr.

Schedule : Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between stores, service providers, customers, and internal departments to address customer needs and requests.
• Inspect products for quality and condition before customer pickup.
• Resolve customer concerns and complaints within established guidelines.
• Coordinate customer service needs with other departments to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Arrange shipments to third parties and assist with changing or canceling delivery appointments.
• Move merchandise, supplies, and boxes throughout the store and stockroom.
• Assemble furniture pieces as needed.
• Remove and dispose of boxes, packing materials, and pallets while maintaining a clean and organized facility.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in assigned areas and product departments.
• Rotate between departments as needed to support business operations.
• Participate in ongoing training related to technology updates, new systems, and job procedures.
• Complete administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.
• Follow established safety, security, and loss prevention policies.
• Perform additional duties assigned by leadership to meet daily productivity and quality goals.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in customer service or a related field.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong customer service, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional telephone etiquette and communication skills.
• Basic English language proficiency.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to assemble furniture.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to operate computers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and standard office equipment.
• Commitment to maintaining safety, security, and loss prevention standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, move throughout the facility, operate office equipment, and communicate throughout the workday.
• Ability to handle paperwork and perform tasks requiring periods of stationary work.
• Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 65 pounds to a height of approximately 3–4 feet.
• Ability to move heavier products with assistance from team members.
• Ability to move furniture weighing up to 300 pounds using appropriate equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift, reach, kneel, crawl, push, pull, climb, balance, bend, crouch, and twist as needed.
• Ability to move merchandise, supplies, and boxes between different levels of the store and stockroom.

 

Work Environment

• Work may involve exposure to hot or cold temperatures, concrete floors, dust, odors, and potential mechanical, electrical, or chemical hazards.
• Position requires regular movement throughout the store, stockroom, and assigned work areas.
• Associates must follow established safety procedures and workplace guidelines.
