Experienced Marine Technician

Lynnhaven Marine, a well-established, family-owned marine dealership in Virginia Beach, is looking for an experienced Marine Technician to join our service team. We are looking for a skilled, dependable technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants a long-term opportunity with a dealership that values both its employees and its customers. Our unique waterfront location gives our technicians the ability to diagnose, repair, launch, and water-test boats on site in real-world conditions. You’ll work with a knowledgeable service team in a busy marine dealership with year-round work and opportunities for continued manufacturer training. What You’ll Work On Our technicians primarily service: Mercury / MerCruiser Yamaha Evinrude Various outboard, inboard, and sterndrive systems Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot marine engines, drives, and related systems Perform mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on outboard, inboard, and sterndrive engines Diagnose and repair marine electrical systems Install gauges, electronics, wiring, cables, and related components Perform seasonal services, including winterization and de-winterization Safely operate customer and company boats for diagnostic and post repair water test Maintain a clean and organized work area Clean and prepare boats following service Accurately complete assigned work within established timeframes Communicate effectively with the service team regarding diagnostics, repairs, and additional work needed What We’re Looking For Previous marine and/or automotive engine repair experience required Marine manufacturer certifications preferred, but not required Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and manage assigned jobs efficiently Dependable with good time-management skills Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team Personal hand tools required; Lynnhaven Marine provides specialty and manufacturer-specific tools Valid driver’s license required Virginia Boater Safety Education Certificate required or ability to obtain Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Some weekend availability is required during peak season Competitive pay based on experience and manufacturer certifications Health insurance Paid vacation Manufacturer and specialized training opportunities If you’re an experienced technician looking for a stable, long-term position where you can put your skills to work both in the shop and on the water, we’d like to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr Lynnhavenmarine
