Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED)

Location: Katy, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $50.00/hour

Schedule: Night Shift 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital setting in Katy, TX. This role is ideal for a skilled RN who thrives in critical care environments and is passionate about delivering timely, high-quality patient care in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation)
• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
• Assist physicians and interdisciplinary team members during emergency procedures and trauma cases
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret vital signs, and respond to changes in clinical status
• Accurately document patient care, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (required)
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department or acute care experience (required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
• TNCC certification preferred
• Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and decision-making skills
• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
